Am I Being Brave?

God,

the blog post was titled, "Are you being brave?"

I dunno.

Am I being brave? I wonder as I unload the dishes
pour another cup of coffee
remind my daughter to get dressed.

I want to be brave
to feel brave

God, what does this look like?

an adventure?
a dare?

to step out
to step closer
to leave what needs to be left
add more compassion, more love

I love a dare,
an adventure
an invitation to join in
the boldness to just begin

Is this it, Lord?
