Second Chances

Loving God,
It's been a Say The Wrong Thing kind of morning.
Words spoken with the best of intentions eliciting tears.
If I could press a reset button and do it over
I would do it better, I would do it right.

Thank you Lord, for being a God of second chances.
A God mysteriously making all things new.

I am thankful for
second chances
new beginnings
forgiveness.

God be with me in my discomfort
as I relive awkward conversations
in my regret over words spoken in impatience and anger
in my sadness in the midst of brokeness.

I am thankful God
for second chances
for new beginnings
forgiveness.
